| It is essential that riders of electric scooters
wear the appropriate electric scooter safety helmets and in
some locations it is a legal requirement. As with riders of
bicycles, riders of electric scooters can be at risk of serious
injury if no head protection is worn.
It is worth noting that Safety Helmets prevent up to 88%
of brain injuries that would otherwise be sustained by cyclists,
this figure no has become applicable to riders of electric
scooters.
How to wear your Electric Scooter Safety Helmet:
Wearing a helmet does not necessarily mean that you are protected;
a helmet is completely useless if it is not worn correctly.
- ·Never wear your helmet to far forward or to far
back.
- Always have the chin strap securely fastened back leaving
large areas of your head uncovered that would otherwise
be protected.
If you are wearing an Electric Scooter Safety Helmet which
is old and worn, why not consider replacing it, Some of the
older models of helmet (although much better than no helmet
at all) do not meet modern specifications and may not provide
maximum protection.
