Some scooters are also supplied with a front wheel brake, any of these systems will be suitable to stop your electric scooter, please remember however that applying your brakes whilst also accelerating your electric scooter can damage your motor.

Depending on certain conditions (such as rider weight, surface quality and riding speed) wheels on an electric scooter can last anything from 500 to 1500 miles.

Can I use my Electric Scooter as a traditional Kick Scooter?

Yes, simply switch the power off! Most Electric Scooters will work as a normal kick scooter, however you may notice that due to the weight difference, a little more energy is needed to do this. It is worth noting that most scooters do come with the option of removing the battery, this way you are not carrying that extra weight with you on your journey.

How long do Electric Scooter Batteries Last?

The life time of the battery depends on which model you have bought and of course the amount of battery power the motor uses, battery life time can range from 200 – 500 recharges.

How do I store my Electric Scooter?

When you have arrived at your destination (i.e. work) you will of course want to store your electric scooter, firstly, electric scooters weigh little more than a laptop computer so they are easily carried from a to b, secondly, your electric scooter will fold down in less than a minute, so you can carry it on the tube and when you arrive at work it will fit neatly in your locker!
