Speedster Electric Scooter Safety Precautions

  • Review all the instructions carefully before operating the scooter.
  • Follow all rules and regulations in your area for operating the speedster electric scooter.
  • Do not allow others to use the scooter without instructions.
  • Ride only in good weather, on smooth surfaces.
  • Always ride your electric scooter with safety gear, including a proper helmet.

Electric Scooter Driving Operation

  • Inspect the scooter condition and tire inflation, always check the brake operation prior to riding your electric scooter
  • Turn the power switch to the "on" position and check your indicator light.
  • Push start with one foot on the deck and one to push on the ground.
  • Engage variable speed handle starting low then gradually increasing.
  • Releasing the accelorator will reduce speed and eventually stop, always release handle before braking
  • Ensure that the pathway you use for your Speedster Electric Scooter is clear and safe for others to pass.
  • Do not ride on streets or sidewalks, always stay in bicycle lanes.
  • Walk scooter across traffic.
  • Do not operate at night or during spells of bad weather
  • Only one person may ride the ekectric scooter at any one time
  • Do not attempt to jump curbs or perform any other tricks on your scooter.
  • When stopping, please use the brakes and remember to switch the power off when you have finished riding.

Speedster Electric Scooter Charging Instructions

The Speedster Electric Scooter will need charging when the low power alarm sounds or alternatively, every 90 days.

  • Turn off the power switch and lay the speedster down (or secure with the kick stand)
  • Plug the charger firstly into the speedster electric scooter, then the plug is plugged in to the mains, (for units which operate with led's - Green indicates "charging" - Red indicates "fully charged"
  • Charges may require up to 6 - 8 hours for a full charge, do not leave your electric scooter charging for over 8 hours.
  • Although the battery is sealed, if any cracks appear in the battery, do not touch the liquid and dispose of safely whilst following local regulations regarding the disposal of batteries.

Speedster Electric Scooter Assembly Help

  • Open the carton and carefully remove the scooter, charger and tire units.
  • Insert screws and tighten the handlebar
  • Adjust the back brake: use adjustment bolt and adjust so the brake applies and wheel does not run when the brake is applied. Check that on release of the brake handle, the spring releases the brake drum. Brake drums should be replaced when worn.
  • Install the front wheel: loosen front acle nut, remove packing and out the claw of mat into the 6.5 hole, use the bolt to fasten the front side, Ensure it is flexible and locked.
  • Adjust the chain: loosen the bolt at rear wheel axle and rotate two sides, adjust the wheel board and make the rear wheel move backwards, then adjust the chain to fit.
  • Battery Change: unsrew bolts of battery case on both sides of the deck, unplug the socket connector and lift out battery with both hands by the straps provided. USE CAUTION WITH BATTERY CHANGES.
Electric Scooter Maintenance
  • Inspect the entire scooter before each use; check the brake, speed control, chain and wheels, including tire pressure.
  • If you hear any unusual noise, stop and check the motor and do not operate if improper noises continue.
  • Clean the scooter regularly and avoid long, hot sun exposure
  • Lubricate the front and rear axle, chain and all turning parts.

The speed control is not working properly or the adjustable speed is lower than 6 miles per hour The battery may be undercharged, the magnet in the accelorator handle may be loose or the speed handle spring is jamming.

The motor stops rotating when connected to the power supply The battery wire is disconnected, the magnet of the speed handle is loose, the charging cable is loose or damaged or a fuse has been blown. Repair damaged connection (replace charging lead if required) and replace blown fuse.

The driving distance is greatly reduced after charging. Tires may be short of air pressure, the battery may be old or damaged, the battery has not been charged and discharged more than ten times, the brake is being over used or the passenger load is too heavy. Fully inflate the tyres, replace the battery, charge the battery more than ten times for optimum performance,.

The Scooter cannot be re-charged

The charging socket is damaged, the fuse is blown or the battery wire is disconnected.

Tighten the charging socket, change the blown fuse ot reconnect the battery connection

The battery is charging but is not building enough power to run the scooter The battery is flat and needs replacing ot the battery connection has become loose. Change the battery ot reconnect the battery clamps.
